Massive plumeria tree

Why the Plumeria is the World's "Perfect Plant"

At Just Plumerias, we consider this the perfect plant for both master gardeners and beginners. Also known as Frangipani or Melia, these plants offer prolific beauty with surprisingly low maintenance.

Bloom & Fragrance Characteristics

  • Long Blooming Season: Our Plumerias typically bloom continuously from April through November. While individual flowers shed, the bloom pod produces new flowers all season long.
  • Unique Scents: No two varieties smell exactly alike. Fragrances range from sweet jasmine and coconut to citrus, peach, and spicy tones.

Grow Plumerias Anywhere in the World

One of the best features of this plant is its versatility. You do not need to live in the tropics to enjoy fresh Hawaiian flowers.

  • In Warm Climates: Planted in the ground, they can grow into magnificent 20-foot trees.
  • For Patios & Balconies: Plumerias make fantastic potted plants. They are "root constrained," meaning they only grow to the size of the pot you put them in. This makes them perfect for decks, screen pools, and driveways.

Easy Winter Care & Dormancy

If you live in a climate where it freezes, Plumeria care is simple:

  1. Bring them inside: You can keep them growing indoors near a window.
  2. Or, let them sleep: Place the pot in a closet, basement, or garage. The plant will go into a natural dormant state.
  3. Spring Revival: Bring the Plumeria back out when the weather warms up, and it often blooms bigger than the year before!

Maintenance Level: Ultra Low. Plumerias are drought-tolerant and thrive in full or partial sun.
